What are skin boosters

Similar to dermal fillers, but are not dermal fillers,  skin boosters are comprised of unique combinations of active ingredients plus hyaluronic acid formula that hydrates and improves the tone and quality of your skin from within. They are often referred to as bio-remodelers or bio-actives that prompt the skin to increase collagen and elastin output and improve its function. Unlike dermal fillers, skin boosters aren’t injected beneath the skin and are instead injected into the subdermal layers of the skin to moisturize and enhance the condition of the skin.

How many sessions should I have?

This depends on what is being treated. Multiple sessions do build up a bigger impact than a one-off treatment. Generally, 3 sessions are required spaced approximately 2 weeks apart and then 2 sessions spaced out by a month with twice yearly maintenance. Depending on skin collagen and elastin more than 3 may be required initially we can re-assess after 3rd treatment.

How long is the recovery time?

The procedure involves minimal recovery time. Following mesotherapy treatment, you can return to work the very same day.

When will I see results?

This depends on what you’re having treated; some patients can expect to see results after the first session, though many will be expected to attend two to three mesotherapy sessions before results are visible. Hyaluronic acid is quick to show a difference as this adds volume to the skin. Injections of vitamins/minerals require longer to take effect as these work to improve the quality of the skin from within.

Are Mesotherapy treatments uncomfortable?

Some clients experience mild discomfort during or after treatment. Injections are carried out using very fine needles to keep any discomfort to a minimum.

What may expect after treatment?

The area treated is left with tiny papules of the implanted serum under the skin (pearls of goodness) the solution is soaking where your skin needs it most, these can remain for up to an hour or maximum 12 hours.  Tiny red dots and slight swellings may also be present for 24-48hrs.   These typically resolve within minutes, sometimes hours and rarely days after treatment. However, with sensitive skins we do advise to allow 24hours for NCTF 135HA® serum and up to 48 hours for maHA serum.  Mineral make-up can be worn after 12hrs.
