Microneedling

Microneedling also called collagen induction therapy CST is a facial rejuvenation treatment, designed to improve skin quality by stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin.

Microneedling delivers an improvement for several skin conditions, including visible signs of ageing, as well as pores, fine wrinkles, loss of elasticity, acne scaring and pigmentation, slackened skin, stretch marks, uneven skin tone and dilated blood vessels. The result is a firmer, plumper, stronger and younger looking skin. In addition, the micro-channels created also allow the penetration of growth boosters and serums to be increased by up to 300%

Micro-needling is suitable for all skin types and tones. It can be performed on various areas of the body, including the face, neck, décolletage, hands, and even the scalp for hair growth stimulation.

How does Microneedling work?

Collagen levels in the skin decline as we age, and new collagen can be produced when the skin is in repair mode.

Microneedling, uses a medical device with tiny needles that create microscopic punctures into the epidermis. This “damage” to the skin triggers a natural healing response called dermal remodelling. This remodelling starts with the release of the body’s own growth factors, stimulating the production of new collagen, elastin and moisture-binding Hyaluronic Acid in the deep layers of the skin. The new skin cells produced, start to migrate up through the layer of the skin, this amazing process is quite literally growing new skin to replace the damaged skin.

Microneedling is a progressive regenerative treatment, effects are not visible immediately after the treatment but are seen over time up allowing for gradual collagen synthesis. The results will continue to improve over the next 12 months as the new collagen and elastin settles, strengthens, and rejuvenates your skin.

A course of treatments 6 treatments is recommended depending on the skin indication, at 6–8-week intervals, along with taking collagen boosting vitamin supplements and using Environ advanced skin care products for optimum results. You can repeat a course until you get the result you want.  After this annual refresher treatments are advised to maintain results.
