Pretreatment

It is essential that you prepare your skin properly prior to having your Microneedling treatment to reduce sensitivity.
Clients must be using Environ Advanced Skincare (daily application if vitamin A) for at least 12 weeks before having microneedling.
We recommend booking in for a skin consultation if you are considering having this treatment done.

Treatment:

The treatment involves a little discomfort but is gentle on the skin.

Post treatment

With superficial treatment the skin will appear a little red, like sunburn, for approximately 24 hours causes
The skin texture may feel ‘rough’ and the skin may flake a little as the cells rejuvenate, this is completely normal.
With a more aggressive treatment, the skin will look sunburned for a day or two with possible pinprick scabbing which resolves in 2 - 3 days.
Skin will be more sun-sensitive after treatment, so sunscreen is also advised.
Those with a history of oral herpes may be prescribed an oral antiviral medication for one week following treatment because the procedure may stimulate a new cold sore.
