What is Syringoma?
Syringoma are harmless benign eccrine (sweat) gland tumours. Seen as flesh colour elevations of the skin, papules or plates found around the eye socket area in particular under the eye and are They range from 1–3 mm in diameter and are firm to the touch. They are common around the eyes in clusters on the eyelids or under eyes, can be mistaken for milia but these are softer and more oval in shape.
What causes Syringoma
Caused by the overgrowth of the sweat glands and are non-contagious.
How is Syringoma removed?
They are removed by gently scraping them away with electrolysis current, the current is applied to shrink the blemish. Small crusts and swellings will then appear, taking up to two weeks to heal. Corrective skin care and pH formula eye treatment with mesotherapy can assist in preventing the formation of these annoying lesions. Several treatments may be needed, depending on the area to be treated.
