Marie-Celene McAuley

Marie-Celene has been in the hairdressing industry for over 35 years. From the outset Marie-Celene was keen about wanting to provide an excellent standard of hairdressing using only the leading hair care brands all provided in a friendly, relaxed but professional environment. Touch of Class hairdressing salon opened it’s doors on 5 October 1981, at 337, Antrim Road, Belfast.

Working as head stylist responsible for a small team, Marie-Celene quickly established a name and reputation in the area as a skilled cutter and blow-drying stylist.  Customers would travel from far and wide to benefit from her unique approach, the warm welcome and her vivacious personality.

Due to a growing demand and increasing client base, in March 1991, Marie-Celene relocated and opened larger premises on the second floor of 327 Antrim Road.  This move was planned to coincide with the start of a partnership with two of her sisters, Christina and Geraldine under the banner of Quintessence Health, Hair and Beauty.

With now over three decades of experience, Marie-Celene has continued to adapt to the ever changing trends in the business, is still passionate about hairdressing and despite the growing use of tongs and straighteners maintains her reputation as an expert in the traditional blow-dry.
